Espressif, famous manufacturer of ESP chipsets, used a lot in open-source automation, has taken control of M5Stack company.Espressif had already an important participation in M5Stack capital, and has now expanded it to take control of the company. M5Stack is famous for its tiny IoT devices designed for home automation and based on ESP processors. Their stackable system allows to develop a lot of features very useful for home automation not even speaking of ones with speakers/mic that are great for personal voice-assistant in local without cloud (no Alexa or Google Home here 😉
We should see quite some new products in next few months ! to keep an eye on 🙂
